Free second opinion
Someone just told youit needs replacing.
Before you spend five figures on their word, let us diagnose it independently and tell you honestly whether that recommendation holds up. Free, no obligation, and you keep everything we find.

Trust the instinct
Something about it did not sit right
Maybe nobody measured anything. Maybe the number arrived faster than the diagnosis did. Maybe the price was only good until the end of the day, or the conversation moved to financing before anyone explained what actually broke.
You are not being difficult by wanting a second look. Nobody would spend twelve thousand dollars on a car repair without asking one more mechanic, and a replacement system is the same money with less to see.
A recommendation that cannot survive a second opinion was never a diagnosis. It was a sales position.
How the second opinion works
The same diagnostic we run on every paid service call. We just do not charge you for this one.
1
Send us what you have
Call or use the form. If you have the written quote, text or email a photo of it — helpful, but not required.
2
We diagnose independently
Full measurements on your system, run without reading their conclusion first. We want to reach our own.
3
We show you what we found
Photos of the actual condition, the readings, and a plain explanation of what they do and do not support.
4
You get a straight answer
Whether the recommendation stands up, and what we would do in your position. Then we leave you to it.
Three ways this can go
We are telling you the first one up front, because a second opinion that always disagrees with the first is not a second opinion.
Outcome one
They were right
It happens regularly. The compressor really is finished, the coil really is leaking, the system really is done. We will say so plainly and show you why — and you can go back to them with confidence instead of doubt. That is a good result.
Outcome two
Right call, wrong quote
Replacement is genuinely the answer, but the quote is missing the permit, the load calculation, the code verification or the duct work — which means it is not comparable to a complete one. We will show you what a real scope includes.
Outcome three
There is a repair
The failure is a component, not the sealed system. Or the real problem is airflow, or ducts, or a part still under warranty nobody bothered to check. This is the outcome we look hardest for.
The obvious question
Why would we do this for nothing?
Because it works out for us often enough. Some of the time we find a repair, and the homeowner who was about to spend twelve thousand dollars spends a few hundred and becomes our customer for the next decade.
The rest of the time the other company was right — and we have earned an honest shot at quoting the replacement, against a company whose quote is now sitting next to ours.
That is the whole business case. It is not charity and we are not pretending it is.
What you get, whatever the answer
- A full independent diagnostic at no charge, run to the same standard as a paid visit
- Photos and readings that are yours to keep and yours to share with anyone
- A plain verdict on whether the other recommendation holds up, including when it does
- No pressure to use us for whatever comes next. Take the findings and go
Worth a second look if any of these happened
None of these prove bad faith on their own. Two or three together are worth an hour of somebody else's time.
- Replacement was recommended without any instruments coming out
- The main reason given was the system's age
- You were not shown the failed part or told what it would cost to repair
- The price expires today, or drops sharply if you sign now
- Financing came up before the diagnosis did
- The quote does not mention a permit or state code verification
- Nobody ran a load calculation — the new system just matches the old tonnage
- Nobody checked whether the part was still under manufacturer warranty

What Fresno homeowners say
★★★★★
I realized something was wrong with my AC when I got home Tuesday afternoon and noticed it wasn't blowing cold air. I called them right away, and they were able to send a technician to my Fresno home that same evening. The repair only took about 45 minutes, and everything was back to normal once the work was done.

Second opinion questions
Is it really free? What is the catch?
Really free, and the catch is that we hope you like us enough to use us for whatever comes next. That is it. You are not obligated to book anything and there is no charge if you walk away.
Do I have to tell you who gave me the first quote?
No, and we would rather you did not tell us their conclusion either until we have reached our own. We are not interested in criticizing other companies — we are interested in what your system actually measures.
What if you agree that I need a new system?
We will tell you so and show you why. You are then free to go back to the first company, get more quotes, or ask us for one. All three are reasonable and we will not push you toward the third.
Should I send you the written quote?
It helps for the scope comparison — whether the permit, load calculation and code verification are included. Text a photo to (559) 520-4240. But we diagnose the system first regardless.
How fast can you come out?
Usually same or next day across Fresno and Clovis. If you are without cooling or heat entirely, say so when you call and we will prioritize you.
Do you do this for furnaces too?
Yes, and heat pumps, packaged units and ductwork quotes. Red-tagged furnaces and cracked heat exchanger calls are among the most common second opinions we run. More on heat exchanger inspection.
