Comfort maintenance plan
Two visits a yearand nine extra years of labor coverage.
Our labor warranty runs one year as standard and extends to ten — for as long as we are the company doing your annual maintenance. That single condition is worth more than everything else on this page combined.
Spring & fall visits Priority scheduling Keeps your warranty
The real reason to join
Your labor warranty depends on this
Manufacturer coverage pays for a failed part. It does not pay the technician who diagnoses it, recovers the refrigerant and spends most of a day fitting the replacement — and on a compressor, that labor is most of the cost.
Our labor warranty covers exactly that. It runs one year on every installation as standard, and stays in force for up to ten years for as long as we are the company performing your annual service. Let the maintenance lapse and it reverts to the standard term.
Without the plan
1 year labor
A covered part failing in year eight still leaves you paying the labor to fit it.
With the plan
Up to 10 years labor
Maintained every year by us, and the labor on qualifying warranty work stays covered.
What maintenance actually prevents
Not vague peace of mind. Three specific failure modes that account for a large share of the breakdowns we get called out to in July.
A loaded condenser coil
Central Valley dust and ag particulate pack a coil fast. A dirty coil raises head pressure, drives up the electric bill every month, and eventually takes the compressor with it. Cleaning it is routine. Replacing a compressor is not.
A charge that has drifted
Refrigerant is not consumed, so a system running low has a leak. Caught at a service visit it is a repair. Caught when the system dies in a heat wave, the compressor has often already been running in a starved condition for weeks.
A capacitor about to go
Capacitors fail gradually and measurably. One reading in microfarads tells us whether yours will make it through August. That is a fifteen-dollar part tested in a minute, versus a no-cooling call on the hottest weekend of the year.
Two visits, timed to the Valley
Cooling checked before the heat arrives, heating checked before it gets cold. Both scheduled by us so you do not have to remember.
Cooling visit
Spring, before the first triple-digit stretch
- Refrigerant charge verified by superheat and subcooling
- Condenser coil cleaned
- Capacitors read in microfarads against rated value
- Amp draw checked against the data plate
- Temperature split and static pressure measured
- Condensate drain cleared and float switch tested
Heating visit
Fall, before the first cold morning
- Heat exchanger inspected and documented
- Combustion and safety controls checked
- Flame sensor cleaned, igniter tested
- Blower and motor amp draw verified
- Gas pressure and burner operation confirmed
- Thermostat calibration and staging checked
The plan
One membership, two visits a year, and the coverage that depends on them.
Comfort Maintenance Plan
[PLAN PRICE]Per system · cancel any time
- Two precision tune-ups a year — cooling in spring, heating in fall, scheduled by us
- Labor warranty maintained at up to ten years on systems we installed
- Priority scheduling when the whole valley is calling at once
- Documented service history — the record manufacturers ask for during a claim
- Photos and readings every visit, so you can see what changed year to year
- Member repair pricing on anything the visits turn up
No long-term contract. Cancel any time — extended labor coverage ends when the maintenance does.
The arithmetic
One covered failure pays for a decade
We are not going to claim a maintenance plan saves you money every single year. Most years it buys you two thorough visits, a clean system and no drama, which is worth having but is not a windfall.
The case for it is what happens once. A compressor failing in year eight with the part under manufacturer warranty and the labor uncovered is a four-figure invoice. Covered, it is not. That one event outweighs a decade of membership on its own — and it is exactly the failure that maintenance is best at either preventing or catching early.
Where the value actually sits
- Labor coverage held open for up to ten years instead of one
- A failing part found in April rather than on a 108-degree Saturday
- A clean condenser running at lower head pressure every month of the season
- A service record that stands up when a manufacturer scrutinizes a claim
What a maintenance plan will not do
Every HVAC company sells one of these. Very few will tell you where the limits are, so here they are.
-
It will not stop every breakdown
Control boards fail without warning. Motors seize. A rock can take out a condenser fan. Maintenance dramatically reduces the failures that build up over time, but nobody can promise a system will never quit, and any company that does is selling you something.
-
It will not make a worn-out system young
If your equipment is genuinely near the end, a tune-up is not going to change that. We will tell you where it stands rather than sell you a plan on a system that needs a replace-or-repair conversation instead.
-
It does not include parts or repairs
The visits are inspection, cleaning and testing. When we find something failing, you get the finding, the photo and a member price — and then you decide. Nothing gets fixed without you approving it.
-
It is not a reason to skip the honest answer
A maintenance visit is not a sales appointment. If your system is fine, we will say it is fine and leave. Two visits a year is a lot of opportunity to invent problems, and we would rather keep you for a decade than win one invoice.
Plan questions
How does the plan affect my labor warranty?
Systems we install carry a one-year labor warranty as standard, extending up to ten years for as long as we are the company performing the annual maintenance. If the service lapses or moves elsewhere, coverage returns to the standard term. Full warranty terms here.
Can I join if you did not install my system?
Yes. Anyone can join the maintenance plan regardless of who installed the equipment. The extended labor warranty applies to systems we installed, but the visits, priority scheduling and member pricing apply either way.
What happens if I need a repair between visits?
Call us and you go to the front of the queue, with member pricing on the work. Priority scheduling matters most in the two weeks of the year when everybody in the Valley is calling at once.
Do I have to remember to book the visits?
No. We contact you in spring for the cooling visit and in fall for the heating visit. Forgetting is the main reason maintenance lapses, so we take that off your plate.
Is there a contract?
No long-term commitment. You can cancel at any time. The only thing that ends with it is the extended labor coverage, since that is what the annual service holds open.
What if I have two systems?
The plan is priced per system. Tell us how many you have when you call and we will confirm the total before you commit to anything.
Does maintenance really matter that much in Fresno?
More than in most of the country. With 100+ days above 90°F, systems here log far more run hours per season than the national average, and Valley dust loads condenser coils faster. Components wear on hours, not birthdays. More on AC maintenance.
Keep the coverage you paid for
Two visits a year, priority when it counts, and a labor warranty that stays open for a decade.
Extended labor warranty coverage applies to systems installed by California Heating & AC Repair and remains in force only while annual maintenance is performed by us. Plan visits cover inspection, cleaning and testing; parts and repairs are quoted separately and approved by you before any work begins.
