Brands
We service everymajor HVAC brand.
Whatever badge is on your outdoor unit, we work on it — split systems, packaged units, heat pumps, mini-splits and evaporative coolers. And below, the part most brand pages leave out: what the badge actually tells you.
Brands we repair and service
All major residential makes, plus the ductless and packaged equipment a lot of shops turn down.
Do not see yours? Call (559) 520-4240 and read us the model number off the data plate. It is very unlikely we cannot work on it.
Worth knowing
The badge matters less than almost anyone tells you
Every HVAC company will tell you their brand is the reliable one, usually because they have a dealer agreement with that manufacturer. It is a genuinely useful thing to be skeptical about.
Independent field data has pointed the same direction for years: installation quality drives how long a system lasts and how efficiently it runs far more than which logo is stamped on it. An excellent unit sized wrong, charged wrong and connected to leaking ducts will underperform a mid-tier unit installed properly, every time.
Two identical systems in two Fresno houses can differ by years of life and hundreds of dollars a season, based entirely on who installed them.
Who actually makes your system
Most residential HVAC brands belong to a handful of parent companies and share engineering, parts and factories. Useful to know when someone tells you your brand is uniquely good or uniquely bad.
Carrier Global
Carrier, Bryant, Payne
Also the ICP family — Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Day & Night, Arcoaire and KeepRite. Same corporate parent, overlapping platforms, different price tiers and warranties.
Trane Technologies
Trane, American Standard
Two badges, largely the same equipment underneath. If someone quotes you one as dramatically superior to the other, ask them to explain the mechanical difference.
Daikin
Daikin, Goodman, Amana
Goodman's budget reputation is dated. Under Daikin ownership the platforms are shared and the warranties are competitive with anything else on this page.
Lennox International
Lennox, Armstrong Air, AirEase, Ducane
Lennox runs a comparatively closed parts network, which is worth knowing before you buy — it can affect who is able to service you later and how fast parts arrive.
Johnson Controls
York, Coleman, Luxaire, Champion
Widely installed across the Valley, particularly in packaged rooftop equipment on tract housing. Parts are generally easy to source.
Rheem
Rheem, Ruud
Same manufacturer, two names, sold through different dealer channels. Common in Fresno homes and straightforward to get parts for.
Brand ownership and product lines change over time. If a specific detail matters to your decision, ask us and we will check the current position rather than repeat something out of date.
What genuinely does differ between brands
Four things worth weighing. Reliability rankings from a salesperson are not one of them.
-
Warranty terms, and whether yours was registered
Most manufacturers offer around ten years on parts, but only if the equipment was registered within a set window after installation. Plenty of systems in Fresno are sitting on a shorter warranty because nobody filed the paperwork. We check yours before quoting a repair.
-
Parts availability
Some brands run open parts networks any qualified contractor can buy from. Others restrict distribution to their own dealers. That difference decides whether a Saturday breakdown gets fixed Saturday or waits until a specific company can fit you in.
-
Refrigerant generation
Far more consequential than the badge. R-22 equipment is expensive to repair, R-410A remains practical, and new systems ship on lower-GWP refrigerants. This affects repair-versus-replace more than anything else.
-
Who is around to service it
A premium brand nobody local supports is worse than a mainstream one everybody does. Before choosing equipment, it is fair to ask how many Fresno companies can service it if we are unavailable.
Replacements
We are not tied to one manufacturer
Companies that sell a single brand exclusively are usually doing it because of a dealer agreement, and that agreement shapes the recommendation before your house is even measured.
We specify equipment against your home — the load calculation, your ductwork, your electrical, your budget and what is actually available. Sometimes that is a premium system. Often a well-installed mid-tier one is the better use of your money.
What we specify against
- A load calculation for your house, not the tonnage of the unit that failed
- Your existing ductwork, because the best equipment cannot outrun a bad duct system
- Parts availability in the Valley, so a future repair is not a two-week wait
- Your budget, honestly — including when the cheaper option is the sensible one
Find your brand and model in 30 seconds
Having this ready when you call means we can check warranty status and bring the right part on the first visit.
Outdoor unit
The data plate is a metal or foil label on the side of the condenser, usually facing the house. Model and serial are the two lines that matter.
Furnace or air handler
Inside the cabinet door, in the garage, a closet, the attic or a crawlspace. Open the panel and the label is usually on the inner wall.
Just photograph it
Easiest option. Text the picture to (559) 520-4240 and we will read the model, serial, refrigerant type and manufacture date off it for you.
Not sure what you are looking at? Call us and we will talk you through it.
Brand questions
Do you repair my brand?
Almost certainly. We service all major residential brands across split systems, packaged and rooftop units, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits and evaporative coolers. If you are unsure, text a photo of the data plate to (559) 520-4240.
Which HVAC brand is the most reliable?
Within the major manufacturers the differences are smaller than the marketing suggests, and installation quality has a larger effect on lifespan and efficiency than the badge does. Be wary of anyone giving you a confident ranking that happens to end with the brand they sell.
Is Goodman a cheap brand?
That reputation is out of date. Goodman is owned by Daikin, shares platforms with Daikin and Amana equipment, and carries warranties competitive with anything else on the market. Installed properly it performs perfectly well in the Valley.
Are you an authorized dealer?
We are not locked into selling one manufacturer's equipment regardless of whether it suits your home. We specify against your load calculation, ductwork, parts availability and budget, then tell you why. Ask us about current dealer relationships when you get a quote.
Will using you void my manufacturer warranty?
No. Manufacturer parts warranties require a licensed contractor and proper installation, not a specific company. What does commonly void coverage is unregistered equipment or work done by someone unlicensed.
Can you tell me if my system is still under warranty?
Yes, and we check before quoting a repair rather than after. Give us the model and serial number and we will look up the manufacture date and registration status.
Whatever badge is on it, we will diagnose it properly
Real measurements, photos of what we find, and a firm price before anything gets touched.
